Walk & Talk Counseling is a non-pharmaceutical intervention that capitalizes on our body's chemical responses to healthy, everyday stimuli. Sessions are 50 minutes and take place along The Embarcadero in SF.
Outdoor and load-bearing leg exercise increase the same neurotransmitters that psychotropic medications target such as serotonin, norepinephrine, dopamine and BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor). For those with mild to moderate depression, exercise is just as effective as antidepressant medications.
